Mommy continued telling the love story of Dottie and Mabel, “They looked so sweet together sitting there. They were sipping sweet, bubbly, effervescent pink champagne, exactly the brand that Dottie ordered, from their adorable matching leaded crystal goblets. They looking so cute I wanted to pinch both of their cheeks as hard as I could! But that would’ve have been weird, and a tad awkward to say the least! So I squashed that urge and bit my lip really hard. The way I used to do with you when you were a baby and I wanted to squeeze you so tight! I get that way with animals, babies and older folks, as you know. They can really trigger me to just want to love them silly, but you can’t, you know? Babies, older folks and animals can be fragile at best, so you have to handle them with care, of course. I snapped back into reality to ask Dottie, ‘Are you sure you want me to keep all of this money? I’m sorry, but it doesn’t seem right, Miss Dottie. To which she just nodded and winked and squeezed my arm. ‘Honey, you’d better get on now, you have a special dinner to make, too, don’t you?’ She winked those sweet blue eyes again as she said this to me. I kissed her gently and thanked her one more time, and I was off, casting a glance back toward the two lovebirds wishing them a very happy Valentine’s Day, closing the door quietly as I left, of course.”
