Mommy continued telling the love story about her and Daddy and their budding love. “It was called Tia Chalia’s Tortilla Factory. But they made absolutely everything. It was good hang over food. And, they served mimosas, which always taste good with Mexican food! Your Dad ordered the huevos rancheros con papas (with potatoes) and I ordered the migachiles (the house specialty!). We sat and looked at our bridal magazines under the awning of the little bistro. Our waiter was very feminine, and we had always believed that he was surely gay. Well, that Monday afternoon we found out that our favorite waiter was also a drag performer at the infamous, Busty Ladies and Buxom Gents Bar. Well, to say we were excited would be to put it mildly! We both jumped up and hugged him and told him our good news. It was a great moment because Geraldo (the waiter) had ALL kinds of wedding connections! We were so excited! Geraldo invited us to a private party that night at the Busty Ladies and Buxom Gents Bar. Well, we were elated to go! So we finished up our delicious meals and decided to drop by a couple of the vintage places that were open on Mondays in Long Beach. We found a couple of things, if I remember right, but what I do remember, is that we found the most gorgeous vintage cocktail dress for your Dad to wear to the party that night. It looked like something Audrey Hepburn would have worn!”
