We loved that car and it went so well with our vintage flair and little tin can house! People really loved that car, too. It suited us. One of these days, I will get down the box of photos that I have of your Dad and I. We brought you home from the hospital in the jewel of a jalopy! Can you believe it? We even had it painted this dreamy color of pale pink and aqua. It was kind of an eye sore, come to think of it, but we loved that car. So, we got to the club and it was packed for a private party! We could hardly believe it! We couldn’t imagine what the occasion was. Geraldo had just said that it was ‘a big – ass blow out for Jorge,’ whoever that was. We told the bouncer that we were invited by Geraldo, from Tia Chalia’s Tortilla Factory, and he just beamed at us and welcomed us with open arms. Everyone there was so cool and the vibe was perfect. It was an indoor outdoor bar. It had a big bar area, more like a ballroom, in the front, a huge courtyard area in the back, and more intimate quiet bar in the back. It was awesome. Your Dad and I fell instantly in love with the place, the energy, the staff, the guests.”
