Mommy Mistress Explains Why Sundays are Special

Mommy continued telling the love story about her and Daddy and their first date in great detail.  “It was white gold, with a very pretty setting.  It had three stones, which I thought was perfect, since the three stones represented today, tomorrow and yesterday, all the days I wanted to spend with your Dad.  Since Valentine’s Day fell on a Sunday that following year, we both had the day off.”  The pretty sissy chimed in, “Oh Mommy, is that why Sundays are your favorite days of all?”  To which Mommy Mistress stroked the sissy’s face and said, “Yes, darling, that is exactly why Sundays are my favorite days of all.  I used to spend them with your Dad and now I spend them with you.  So, where were we?   Oh yes, it was unusually warm that day, and I decided to pack us a picnic and we could walk to the beach and enjoy the sunset.  I really wanted a very unique way to pop the question, but I didn’t want to do anything stupid that I would regret, like putting the ring in a petit four and having your Dad chip a tooth on it or something.  So all I did was, I found a Tiffany box that I had discovered while cleaning Mrs. Swanson’s house after her estate sale.  I think I was all of 15 when I found it.   I asked her if I could have it, since it was empty and would probably end up in the trash.”
