Mommy continued telling the love story about her and Daddy and their budding love. “When I finally found Geraldo, he was busy helping put out the buffet food. They were amazing there. It was more like a social club than a bar, but it was all of the above, really. Geraldo said that we could have our wedding there, but to rent the place exclusively would be expensive, unless we could guarantee that bar made a certain amount that night. I can’t remember the exact amount, but it was an impossible amount, like maybe $25,000 or something like that. So, that was out of the question. But then Geraldo said, ‘You don’t have to only have your friends here, why not invite the other patrons to join in the fun?!’ Well, I absolutely loved that idea! I would have to convince your Dad, but it didn’t seem like a hard sell to me. I thought having a bunch of people there, cool people who were accepting of your Dad and I, would be perfect! Finally, your Dad let poor Jorgina get back to her party, and I took him out to the courtyard to check it out. Night was falling and the sky was dusky and very pretty. All around there were little white tables and chairs with white umbrellas, white lattice work with english ivy, and tiny little white twinkly lights. It was perfect! I sat your Dad down at one of the tables and began painting a picture of how it could be.”
