Mommy continued telling the love story about her and Daddy and their budding love. “You should have heard your Dad squeal with delight! It was just what the doctor ordered! We poured over those magazines, just like I knew we would. We were having so much fun! We dog – eared the pages of the dresses we really liked. We highlighted things and took notes. It was really, really fun! I remember it like it was yesterday. I even put on some classical music to set the stage and we just devoured all of those bridal magazines! We were like to giddy little school girls. I remember falling asleep in each other’s arms on the second – hand sofa. When we woke up the next morning, all bleary – eyed from the wine and staying up so late, we just took one look at each other and died laughing. Our necks were stiff and sore and we both were in pretty bad shape! So, we slowly got up and eased into our day. I brewed a big pot of french roast and we sat on the front porch and whiled away the morning, laughing and talking about what we would do later that afternoon. Your Dad wanted to go right out and shop at the vintage places looking for stuff for the wedding. I needed food! So we compromised and lugged our magazines to our favorite little Mexican food restaurant that served breakfast all day. It was about a block from the ocean, and we loved that little place!”
