Mommy continued telling the love story about her and Daddy and their budding love. “But he was shaken to his core over the whole ordeal. I hated to see him so rattled. I promised him that it would all be okay, that we would have our wedding and that he could wear a white dress and be the beautiful bride he had always dreamed of being. I told him that it didn’t matter who came to our wedding, but that we were there and that we loved each other very, very much. This seemed to cheer him up a bit. Then, I remember a present that I had gotten your Dad earlier that day. I had picked up a friend from the airport who had been away on a family thing, and walked past a huge news stand. Well, when I saw all of those fashion magazines, my mouth just watered! So, I picked up a few for your Dad and I to pour over during a long, lazy Saturday afternoon. I had arranged them all in a basket with a few little goodies and such. I told your Dad to close his eyes and then I went and go the basket. It was a pretty white basket, a nice big one, and I decorated it with ribbons and lace and strands of faux pearls. Inside there were sweet little packages of jordan almonds, two tiny little bottle of bubbles, a bottle of bubble bath, and all kinds of bridal magazines!”
