In my last my pretty sissy blog entry, I was discussing the fact that there is a commonly held belief in the LGBTQI (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, questioning, and, inter sexed) community that, simply stated, if you are looking for a cause, you are looking for a cure. That is to say, the digging around for the reasons why someone is the way that they are, generally means but the person dating is looking to avoid another person turning out in a similar manner. So we can wax philosophical about why you turned out to be a sissy, or why I turned out to be bisexual, but it really doesn’t matter. You are you and I me. And in the spirit of ” live and let live” we should be accepting and embracing and celebrating one another’s differences! I think the diversity is truly the last frontier. Wait a second, let me rephrase that, I think that embracing diversity, celebrating diversity, realizing how and necessary diversity is, is the last frontier. That’s why labels are so important in our society. They help simplify things, don’t they? But life isn’t simple. People aren’t simple. We’re very wonderfully complex individuals. And maybe, just maybe, life isn’t supposed to be divided up into neat little boxes. People aren’t supposed to be divided up into neat little boxes. Just because those labels and boxes make it easier on others doesn’t mean that they work. There are a lot of people who believe themselves to be a third gender, but I love to talk about this in the posts to come.
